Our Story
The Beginning
The story of 2 Brothers Bar began long before it became one of Santorini’s most iconic nightlife destinations.
Back in the early 1980s, our father opened a small traditional Greek café in the heart of Fira. It was a place where locals gathered after a long day of work, sharing stories, playing cards, enjoying a coffee, a drink, and each other’s company. It quickly became a meeting point for the local community.
The Transformation
At the time, the two brothers, Dimitris and Giannis, spent their days working in Santorini’s pumice stone mines, one of the island’s most important industries. After finishing work, they would return to the family café and help run the business during the evenings.
When the mining industry gradually declined, the brothers dedicated themselves fully to hospitality. Inspired by the music, culture, and energy of the era, they transformed the café into a rock bar that soon became a favorite gathering place for both locals and visitors.
As Santorini evolved into one of the world’s most popular destinations, so did 2 Brothers. Through decades of hard work, passion, and countless unforgettable nights, the bar grew while always maintaining its original spirit: bringing people together.
Today
Today, the next generation proudly continues that tradition. Led by Jack and Leuteris, 2 Brothers Bar remains family-owned and family-operated, welcoming guests from all over the world with the same warmth, hospitality, and personal touch that started it all more than 40 years ago.
